I visited Dr Lewis to have some old veneers replaced on six of my upper teeth. I had braces and my first set of veneers twenty years ago (I am 53) initially to improve the color and shape of my teeth and correct the midline between my front teeth.. The braces and veneers were only partially successful because my teeth were still too many and too large. I had run out of teeth that could be removed to make extra space to further straighten my teeth. Over the years I resigned myself to having a slightly wonky smile. During my consultation with Dr Lewis, however, I asked if he could completely straighten my front teeth, correct the midline and balance my smile by making the front teeth less prominent, He agreed this was possible. By using full crowns on all my upper teeth Dr Lewis was able to correct the position of my upper teeth so they are completely straight and all in the correct, symmetrical position and a healthy colour.. This correction has also significantly lifted my facial features and some of my acquaintances assume I have had an actual facelift! Yes, it is expensive. BUT I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY by Dr Lewis’s attention to every little detail, his passion to make your smile gorgeous and quality of work. Dr Lewis and his nurses are absolutely amazing. I have a condition that causes my enamel deteriorate over time. By the age of 25 all my teeth were covered with veneers or crowns. I also have couple implants. I have worked with various dentists in Houston area and abroad. Dr Lewis and his team have exceeded all my expectations by far. Dr Lewis has changed all my crowns and veneers, upper and lower teeth. He also had to readjust my bite due to natural teeth movements with age and work done by other dentists. I get tons of compliments on how beautiful my teeth are. I have never felt this confident about my smile. It has made a huge impact on my life. Not to mention how comfortable all my teeth feel, my gums are a lot healthier now too. They don’t bleed or hurt nearly as much as before I got to work with Dr Lewis. If your like me, going to the dentist has never been on the top of your 5 favorite things to do. But the team at TCCD has gone above and beyond to make every experience pleasant and stress free. The dental hygienist's are extremely polite and understanding to the awkwardness you may feel of having someone digging into you mouth. They take the time to explain what is going on and check if your "doing okay" more than they need too. In fact, I have never seen an office so advanced and so focused on solutions that best suit the patient. There is no "close enough" with them, and they sincerely want only the highest caliber results. I am very happy to have found them and wish that I had found them sooner, because it would have saved me lots of time and money had I done so. If you need aesthetic work done, I would be very cautious using a dentist who is not practically and philosophically focused on cosmetic outcomes, whether they be crowns, veneers, bonding, or replacing metal fillings. Dr. Atabakhsh performed a crown lengthening procedure recommended by my dentist. The surgery was performed following my initial examination visit at which time he explained the procedure in detail to me and answered all of my questions. I had no complications during or after the surgery, and my dentist was able to complete the crown work after a two week healing process. Before I moved to Houston in 2012, I had two root canals done on my two front teeth. However, before I could get crowns they both broke off. The appearance my mouth had, made me a prisoner in my own house. I refused to smile or meet anyone publicly if possible. While getting ready for church on Sunday mornings, I would watch the Best Docs program. Dr. Guy Lewis just stood out to me as the dentist I would try to get to do my major dental work. I contacted his office, and from the moment I entered his office, everyone was exceptionally pleasant to me. I had a huge fear of going to the dentist, but that was quickly put to rest after Dr. Lewis told me they were going to make me smile again, and stated Dr. David Fisher would be doing my work. Words cannot express the happiness this office has brought into my life. I am smiling so much now, that my friends are joking constantly telling me to please close my mouth! And you know what, I don't have to anymore! I have a new smile and thanks to the entire staff at The Texas Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry I can mingle and jingle with all of my friends and family without the embarrassment of having front teeth missing.
