Tooth-Colored Fillings in Houston, TX

Overview

If you need to have a cavity filled by one of our cosmetic dentists, or if you would like an alternative to conspicuous metal (amalgam) fillings, tooth-colored fillings may be just the solution. At the Texas Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, we can match the material used to fill your teeth to your natural shade. The tooth-colored material will blend with the tooth and you can speak and laugh without having to worry about revealing a mouth full of metal fillings. Tooth-colored fillings have many health and aesthetic benefits. Unlike metal fillings, they do not contain any mercury, which makes them much safer than metal fillings. They also adhere more tenaciously to the tooth than metal fillings, which reduces the likelihood of return visits to have the filling repaired or replaced. The ceramic material does not stretch or shift, which eliminates or minimizes tooth sensitivity. Finally, these fillings provide a phenomenal cosmetic result. Contact our office in The Woodlands, TX to learn more about how tooth-colored fillings may benefit you.

Treatment

During the treatment process we will use resin or porcelain material for the filling and it will be shaded to match the color of the patient’s natural tooth. Once the area with tooth decay is cleaned, a filling will be created and bonded to the tooth. Typically, resin fillings can last at least 15 years if the patient practices good hygiene, including regular brushing and flossing.

This Tuesday, I went to Dr. Guy M. Lewis' office to get a filling. My dad and I arrive early, because my dad's appointment is before mine. We are immediately greeted by the extremely friendly Whitney. As we are waiting, she kindly tells us they have food and water to drink, if needed. My dad goes in for his appointment, and I am alone in the waiting room. Whitney, kindly tries to get to know me better. She begins to ask me about the school I go to and my interests, and she made me feel so welcomed. She converses with me on and off for 2 and a half hours, as my dad gets work done. The usually boring waiting time found in most dentist offices was not had at all! I appreciated Whitney getting to know me so much! Then, Letty calls me in for my appointment. She kindly asks how I am doing and my pain tolerance; she really cares that I have the most calm visit. Then, she assists the dentist in doing my filling, and they do it in the most efficient way possible. I am then done with my visit at Dr. Guy Lewis', and Letty wishes me a great day. I love all the employers here. They make me feel welcomed. As I was walking out of the office, I began to feel a bit sad. The visit was so nice, and I did not want to leave! And that is saying a lot for a dentist! I would highly recommend this building to anyone! And I am now have a new respect/passion for the dental industry!

Everyone at the clinic provides an excellent job. I went there just to ask for information due to that I lost a filler in one of my front teeth and needed a good dentist since I just moved from Oklahoma to Houston. Immediately they let me talk to the treatment planner Ginger and on the same day they were able to schedule me a visit in less than a week. Then Doctor Fisher and his assistant did what they know and fix my tooth.....didn't feel nothing

R.S. Yelp

All I can say is Wow! I'm so impressed. I am clearly the biggest whimp there is when it comes to the dentist. Not only is the place beautiful, but they are so caring and thoughtful as well. I'm not thrilled I need fillings replaced. But, I must say at least I know I'm going back there and I'll be well taken care of. Dr. Lewis is pleasant and handsome (he's married ladies!). The hygienist is such a doll. I'm going on record as saying this was the best experience getting my teeth cleaned in as long as I can remember. You won't be disappointed if you go see this group. Even the women in the office are so sweet and polite!
