Although it takes longer to see results, the Texas Center for Cosmetic Dentistry also offers at-home teeth whitening as a more affordable alternative. At-home whitening utilizes clear plastic trays to hold the bleaching gel against the teeth. The trays are custom crafted to fit snugly and comfortably. If you choose this option, you will simply visit our office in The Woodlands, TX to pick up your teeth whitening trays. Then, you will fill the trays with a medical-grade whitening gel and wear the trays overnight while you sleep. The gel, which is less potent than ZOOM!® whitening gel, gradually removes stains from the enamel. When worn as directed, at-home teeth whitening can provide beautiful results in as little as 2 weeks. Unlike over-the-counter teeth whitening products with a one-size-fits-all approach to whitening, our home teeth whitening kits are tailored for each patient to have a brighter smile.
Treatment
At the office, the dentist will make molds of the patient’s teeth to create a custom-made dental tray. These trays protect the gums from the whitening gel, as contact may be harmful and it also minimizes discomfort and irritation during the treatment. Once at home, the patient will fill the tray with prescription strength whitening gel and leave in for a designated amount of time, typically 45 minutes, each day. Some patients may see visible results after one treatment, but most patients need 2 – 4 weeks to see their full results.

We pretty much ditched the big wedding we had booked and took off a few days later! When I explained to the receptionist the circumstances she quickly put me on hold and got me an appointment first thing…. My results were wonderful as you can see here!!! I had plenty of stains from my Invisalign and they are minimal if not completely gone. Thanks again y’all for a wonderful experience 💛
