Although it takes longer to see results, the Texas Center for Cosmetic Dentistry also offers at-home teeth whitening as a more affordable alternative. At-home whitening utilizes clear plastic trays to hold the bleaching gel against the teeth. The trays are custom crafted to fit snugly and comfortably. If you choose this option, you will simply visit our office in The Woodlands, TX to pick up your teeth whitening trays. Then, you will fill the trays with a medical-grade whitening gel and wear the trays overnight while you sleep. The gel, which is less potent than ZOOM!® whitening gel, gradually removes stains from the enamel. When worn as directed, at-home teeth whitening can provide beautiful results in as little as 2 weeks. Unlike over-the-counter teeth whitening products with a one-size-fits-all approach to whitening, our home teeth whitening kits are tailored for each patient to have a brighter smile.
Treatment
At the office, the dentist will make molds of the patient’s teeth to create a custom-made dental tray. These trays protect the gums from the whitening gel, as contact may be harmful and it also minimizes discomfort and irritation during the treatment. Once at home, the patient will fill the tray with prescription strength whitening gel and leave in for a designated amount of time, typically 45 minutes, each day. Some patients may see visible results after one treatment, but most patients need 2 – 4 weeks to see their full results.

Dr. Guy Lewis is absolutely the best! I conducted months of research meeting with other cosmetic dentists before meeting Dr Lewis. Once I met him I knew he was the one! Along with the health of your teeth, he is an artist, he sees every detail. If he feels something has not come out to his standards he will fix it free of charge.If you worry about the cost, DO NOT convince yourself that saving a little money by using another dentist is justifiable. I had the same concern; however, it is not worth compromising your smile which could compromise your entire facial appearance.A smile contributes so much to your first impression, make sure it is a good one. Your personal and professional life can be dictated by your smile. Your smile will change your life, I never realized people love taking pictures with me or of me because of my “smile”.I'm not paid to write this, I care about beauty, I want anyone seeking to better themselves to find the best professional to accomplish their goals.
